Giggity Giggity

At last! I've wanted to play a live show for years. Decades even. And it seemed like for various reasons, it was just never going to happen.
But last Sunday, I finally got to do a short live show as part of The Moons Of Jupiter, at a small but really nice venue in Stourbridge called Claptrap. It was about 20 minutes, but it gave us the chance to do 5 songs in total, and despite my worries about it all going wrong, everything just worked perfectly. And James was in fine singing voice too, so all in all I'm really glad I had the chance at last. We're hoping to do another short set there next weekend, on the Sunday night, if all goes well.
I did feel extremely nervous on the Saturday before, and the same on the Sunday afternoon. But it's almost like it reached a peak at that point, and then everything was okay after that. Even once I was at the place itself, I actually felt disturbingly calm, which I didn't expect at all, but I was certainly not complaining. It also helped that the sound levels - while still loud - were nothing like as thunderous as the ill-fated Magnum gig I went to in the early 90s and which put me off the idea of ever playing live. And no damn strobe lighting.
So that was all very encouraging and hopefully next weekend will go well too. Also, there aren't many photos around from the show, but there are a couple on our FB page.
Oh, and I got my cat sticker from Claptrap at last, which I've been covetting since September last year, so all is well. =^_^=
