Right, first of all, if anyone actually sees this blog post, there's a new Nightlights single on Bandcamp, and it's one of the tracks that will feature on the fourth(!) Nightlights album.
I'm hoping that the album itself will be released in a few week's time, certainly no longer than a month, though as ever any number of things can trip up the plans. But if all goes well, it should surface fairly soon and the title will be "Stories."
The original plan was for it to be a steampunk themed album, at least in terms of the cover art and song titles, but I wasn't at all happy with how the proposed artwork was turning out. So that plan got scrapped, as I had a better idea to replace it. Unlike "The Crystal Mountain" and "The Lost Girl" this one (ironically given the title) isn't going to tell a story in a concept album style. The theme is of course stories, but it isn't intended as an imaginary soundtrack to a film, unlike those other two albums.
Innit.
